MHP is making things easier for patients needing to drop off lab samples for testing. Starting Monday, October 14th, if you’re asked by the MHP Lab to collect a sample at home, you will be able to pull up to the Main Entrance at MHP Medical Center and return it to the lab without even entering the building. The process for curbside drop-off is simple:

Pull into the circular drive at the Main Entrance of the MHP Medical Center and park next to the Lab Drop-Off sign.

Call the telephone number on the sign to notify the staff of your arrival.

Have the sample clearly labeled with the patient’s name, date of birth, and telephone number.

An MHP staff member will approach the passenger side of your vehicle to assist you.

After a few questions to verify the patient’s information, you will be on your way!
(NOTE: In order to provide the best possible care to our patients, the Lab Drop-Off program has several exceptions. Be sure to check with Laboratory Staff when you receive your collection kit to make sure your sample is appropriate for drop-off.)
MHP is pleased to be able to offer this new program to our patients. The idea was sparked by the MHP Patient and Family Advisory Council, a group of community members that meet monthly to discuss ideas and provide feedback to improve the way our patients experience care.
