MHP Nephrology & Infectious Disease
MHP Nephrology and Infectious Disease offers a wide range of services to
patients with kidney disease and infectious diseases. Patients who experience
kidney failure often present a number of the following symptoms: Edema,
hypertension, uremia, gross hematuria, and flank pain. Services provided
include ultrasounds, EKGs, bio-impedance testing, ECHOs , Hemodialysis
, Peritoneal dialysis, Critical care dialysis, clinical research, and
Interventional nephrology services. In addition, Infectious disease specialists
have extensive knowledge and training that makes them experts on how infections
spread and how the body fights infections. They diagnose and treat conditions
resulting from all types of infections. These can include infections caused
by bacteria, viruses, parasites, and fungi.
Dr. Jorge Diego MD is board certified in Nephrology, Infectious Disease,
Internal Medicine and has a long experience as Medical Director of Dialysis
Programs. Graduated with honors from the University of Florida College
of Medicine he has been in practice for more than 30 years as Associate
Professor of Clinical Medicine at University of Miami Miller School of
Medicine and at Barnes Hospital at Washington University in Saint Louis
MO. He also speaks multiple languages, including Spanish.
Dr. Anupama Mohanram has joined MHP Nephrology & Infectious Diseases
with Dr. Jorge Diego and is now accepting patients. She received her Doctor
of Medicine from the University of North Carolina, and has been on the
faculty at the IU School of Medicine. She has served as medical director
at IU Health dialysis clinics in Indianapolis. Dr. Mohanram is board certified
in Nephrology.
