[ SHELBYVILLE, INDIANA ] During the COVID-19 pandemic, Indianapolis Gastroenterology & Hepatology and Major Health Partners would like the Shelby County community to know that we remain committed to their health and wellbeing during this difficult time.
For the health and safety of all our patients, IGH and MHP have elected to transition all gastroenterology and hepatology patient appointments to virtual appointments via telemedicine. This will allow patients to remain safely in the comfort of their own home and still have access to their Physician.
Telemedicine visit options include appointments via telephone or video appointments via a mobile device or computer. No special equipment or app is required for an appointment. Appointments are available Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Telemedicine visits are for non-life threatening symptoms or non-emergency care only. If you are experiencing any life-threatening symptoms or require emergency care, please call 911 or visit your nearest emergency room.
Insurance and co-pays will be billed for all telemedicine appointments. For all Medicare and Medicaid patients, no co-pay will be collected and no prior authorization is required. To schedule a telemedicine appointment or questions regarding this service, please call 317.865.2955
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
I am not currently a patient of IGH, butI am having gastroenterology or hepatology symptoms. Do I need a Physician’s referralto schedule an appointment?
Individuals who are not currently patients of Indianapolis Gastroenterology & Hepatology will need to call our scheduling office at 317.865.2955. Please have your insurance information available. If a referral is needed, we will let you know at that time.
I don’t have insurance right now, butI need to see a Physician. Do you offer private pay or any other options?
For patients without insurance, we do offer a flat visit fee of $100 for our gastroenterology and hepatology telemedicine appointments. Payment will be required when scheduling an appointment.
I’m not sure if my insurance covers telemedicine/telehealth appointments. How do I find outifthese visits are covered?
