UPDATES FROM INCIDENT COMMAND:

  • “Bam” monoclonal drug for Covid treatment. By today’s end, we will have infused 11 patients with this experimental Eli Lilly drug. All patients thus far have tolerated it well without any interactions and are showing improvement. The drug is designed to reduce and stop the viral load in mild to moderately ill patients who are at high risk or have underlying health conditions. The cost of the drug is free to the patient. The only charge to the patient is for the saline used and the infusion charge. Most insurances are providing coverage, but if insurance declines coverage, we will apply our self-pay discount, which would bring the total out of pocket to approximately $400. If the patient pays at the time of service, we offer an additional 30% prompt pay discount.
