UPDATES FROM INCIDENT COMMAND:

  • Vaccination Update: MHP should begin receiving vaccines starting January 11th. Indiana public officials will determine who is eligible to receive this first round of vaccines. Out of our 96 employees who have received a Covid vaccine, we are only aware of one minor reaction. The employee experienced hives, which is a normal reaction for some patients for any vaccine and the employee did not require treatment. The hives resolved after a few hours and the employee is fully recovered.
  • Bamlanivimab “Bam” monoclonal drug for Covid treatment. By the end of the day, we will have infused 199 patients with this Eli Lilly monoclonal drug. We have a sufficient supply of both Regeneron and Bamlanivimab for our current needs.
  • Priority Care and Family & Internal Medicine Walk-ins: Outpatient visits at both locations are very busy right now.

MHP TESTING STATUS:

  • Number of NEW positive results: 88 new positive cases since 12/23/2020
    • Out of the 88 new positive cases, 19 patients required inpatient care and 69 remained outpatient. We currently have approximately 500 rapid tests remaining. The validation process of our in-house testing is ongoing and should be finalized later this week.

MHP INPATIENT STATUS:

  • Current number of 3rd floor inpatients: 40 and 8 of those patients are in the Critical Care Unit (CCU).
    • Number of available 3rd floor beds: 0
  • Currently, we have 23 inpatients that tested positive for COVID.

MHP EMERGENCY DEPT STATUS:

  • Number of total ER patients in last 24 hours: 53 patients

VENT STATUS:

  • Number of vents currently in use and number of vents available:
    • We have 3 ventilator(s) in use and 3 BiPAPs in use, 2 trilogy unit is in use. This leaves us with 14 ventilation units available.
