MHP would like to thank the late Jacqueline “Jackie” Joseph for the gift she made to the MHP Foundation in her estate. The following biography was written by Jackie’s dear friend, Debbie (Schapiro) Stieglitz.

“Jacquelin ‘Jackie’ Joseph was born July 24, 1921, in Chicago, Illinois. She was the daughter of Henry and Johanna “Honey” Karpen Joseph. Her sister was Mary Epstein, and she had a brother-in-law, Edward Lee Epstein. Mary and Edward have both passed.

Jackie graduated from Tudor Hall High School (now known as Park Tudor) in Indianapolis in 1940. She received an associate degree from Indiana University. She was a landscape consultant for Eagle Creek Nursery where she created landscaping designs for over 50 years. She retired in 2004.

She enjoyed gardening and had many plants in and around her home. She was also an avid reader and collected many trivets, dishes, keepsakes, and antiques. She loved all animals, especially her poodles.”

Jackie’s planned gift has not only made a difference for patients at MHP, but it has also allowed her to create a legacy for the community.
