UPDATES FROM INCIDENT COMMAND:
COVID Vaccine: Registration for certain clinical staff to sign up for the vaccine has
begun. We will start with our patient-facing staff first. Beginning next
week, all MHP workers will be eligible to sign up to receive the vaccine.
Vaccine distribution is taking place at Hancock County hospital in Greenfield.
Please note: the vaccine is not available to the public at this time and we will communicate
information about the public distribution of the vaccine when it becomes
"Bam” monoclonal drug for Covid treatment. By the end of the day, we will have infused 130 patients with this Eli
Lilly monoclonal drug. Since our previous update, we have not had any
patients experience more than a mild reaction. We have approximately 165
Rapid Covid tests: We received a supply of our rapid tests that had previously been placed
on allocation. Rapid Covid tests are reserved for patients who have Covid-like
symptoms and present within 10 days of the onset of symptoms. Per the
manufacturer, rapid Covid tests are not designed for asymptomatic patients
or patients who have been exposed to Covid who haven’t yet developed symptoms.
MHP TESTING STATUS:
Number of NEW positive results: 84 new positive cases since 12/11/2020
- Out of the 84 new positive cases, 9 patients required inpatient care and
75 remained outpatient.
MHP INPATIENT STATUS:
Current number of 3rd floor inpatients: 29 and 4 of those patients are in the Critical Care
Number of available 3rd floor beds: 11
- Currently, we have 14 inpatients that tested positive for COVID.
MHP EMERGENCY DEPT STATUS:
- Number of total ER patients in last 24 hours: The Emergency Department
volumes were stable over the weekend. However, the acuity for many of
the patients was quite high compared to our norm.
Number of vents currently in use and number of vents available:
- We have 1 ventilator(s) in use and 2 BiPAPs in use, 0 trilogy units are
in use. This leaves us with 16 ventilation units available.
