Angela Gill, the MHP Foundation’s Executive Director for 18 years, will be retiring in December 2022.

“Dear MHP and Community Family—

As I prepare to retire at the end of this year, I’d like to make sure you all know a few things.

First of all, a big thank you to you for helping me accomplish my goal of establishing the MHP Foundation as a nonprofit organization worthy of charitable support. That could have only happened with the help of people like you! Your willingness to share your dollars, your time, and your positivity about MHP have meant so much to the organization and to me personally. Aside from my children, it’s one of my favorite life accomplishments.

Next, I want to assure you that the MHP Foundation is in good hands as I leave. Incoming Executive Director LaTisha Idlewine is full of enthusiasm and excitement about her new position, and I know you will all grow very fond of her. KaLeigh Lee, whom you may already know, is now our Manager of Philanthropic Operations. You will see her performing many of her current responsibilities as well as some new ones for which she is eminently qualified. You can count on her whole-heartedly! Both ladies are true professionals with the MHP Foundation’s best interests at heart, and I cannot wait to see where they take the organization. Please give them your unconditional support.

Last, I want to say thanks for a great past 18 years. MHP is a wonderful place to work, and I’ve made life-long friends inside and outside the walls of MHP as we’ve worked together to fulfill the healthcare needs of the community. It’s such a joy to know that, with your help, I’ve been able to make a difference in the lives of people in my hometown and the surrounding area. If you had told me when I was a young person just starting out in my career that someday I would be doing philanthropic work, I would have laughed and said, “No way.” Now that I’m a grown woman wrapping up my career, and even though I have a few tears in my eye, I can say I’ve made a difference, and it’s been a delightful journey. No matter where or how we’ve met on the journey or what we did together, thank you.

With great fondness,

Angela”

LaTisha Idlewine will serve as the MHP Foundation’s new Executive Director.

“Dear MHP and Shelby County Community-

What an exciting year of growth and change for Shelby County and the MHP Community. I am honored to be a part of this new year of change. Prior to becoming a team member for Major Health Partners, my career was developed within the YMCA of both Indianapolis and Shelbyville. My roles included Wellness Director, Personal Trainer, Community Health Advocate, Executive Director and more! It was through those roles and experiences that my level of career development grew exponentially.

Born and raised on a dairy farm in the small town of Hanover, Indiana, I learned early on what it takes to succeed. It was through being on the farm with my family and watching my parents that I learned just how important relationship building, hard work, honesty, and a good hand shake really were. They may seem simple, but to me, they were everything. I’d like to think that determination carried over to me in my will to succeed. With that succession, I am truly humbled to have been chosen to carry on in Angela’s

footsteps. I wholeheartedly plan to give it my all to fill her shoes as much as I can. She is an incredible woman and I know she will continue to be an excellent mentor to me on this journey.

I am excited to take the foundation to the next level. With the support of my husband Shea, my three children and Shelbyville as a whole, I know this next chapter will be one for the books. The excitement to work with KaLeigh Lee, the Manager of Philanthropic Operations, is unlike any other! I have a feeling we are going to make a pretty great team! Thank you MHP and thank you to our community for entrusting in me this role to be your new MHP Foundation Executive Director. I will not let you down!

With excitement,

LaTisha”
