Patient Resources

Spiritual Care

Spiritual Care can be an important part of healing and living. Our program offers spiritual care to patients, residents, family, and staff. If you have additional questions about this program please contact our Volunteer Services Department at 317.421.5676.

Requesting a Chaplain

Major Health Partner’s staff members are happy to request a chaplain on behalf of patients and their families. If you have a special needs request please notify a hospital staff member or dial “0” for the operator and state your request. Your personal priest, minister, pastor or rabbi is also always welcome to visit you during your stay with us at the hospital.

Our Chapel

The MHP Major Hospital Chapel is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week for private reflection. It is located on the first floor of the Medical Center, just off the main concourse near Maternity Care.

Communion is served upon request daily. Everyone is welcome to participate. If you would like communion brought to your bedside, please notify a staff member or dial “0” for the operator and notify them of your request.

Volunteer Services provides personal Bibles, self-help literature and devotion books to anyone who would like to receive them. We also have Bibles and literature in Spanish. Please call Ext. 5676 or let a staff member know if you would like to receive any of these materials.
