Bio
Dr. Emily Ann Kapunan Andaya is originally from the Philippines where she completed her Bachelor of Science in Biology at the University of the Philippines. She then attained her Doctor of Medicine Degree at Saint Louis University, Philippines. She was Board Certified in Internal Medicine before she moved to California. Dr. Andaya worked as a Certified Critical Care and Stroke Registered Nurse in San Diego, California prior to obtaining her residency training in Family Medicine at William Beaumont Hospital in Michigan where she graduated as a Chief Resident.
Dr. Andaya joined MHP in 2013. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians, a Fellow of the American Society for Preventive Cardiology, and a Diplomate of the American Boards of Family Medicine, Obesity Medicine, Clinical Lipidology, and Lifestyle Medicine. She is also Board- Certified in Advanced Diabetes Management. She serves as the Medical Director of the MHP Cardiometabolic Program. Dr. Andaya is also an Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor of Indiana University School of Medicine.
She spends most of her free time goofing around with her boys and watching movies. Besides traveling, Dr. Andaya loves to sing, dance, and cook for her family.
