MHP Oncology & Hematology was built with one fundamental principle in mind: providing state-of-the-art cancer care in a comforting, patient-centered environment. For patients this means better outcomes, and the best chance for beating cancer.
For cancer treatment to be effective, we believe treatment must be unique to each patient. At Benesse, each patient begins by undergoing a comprehensive clinical evaluation with a wide range of diagnostic technologies at Major Hospital. These may include magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), computed tomography (CT) scans, positron emission tomography (PET) scans, endoscopy, X-rays and biopsies.
Our cancer specialists assess your condition and identify appropriate therapies as quickly as possible. Throughout your treatment, you will work with a Nurse Navigator—a personal advocate who helps you stay informed of your treatment options and develop your personal roadmap to recovery. As a patient of Benesse, you can be assured that you have a team of doctors, nurses and healthcare professionals behind you every step of the way.
Treatments and therapies may include surgery, radiation and chemotherapy, individually or in combination, depending on your personal health and the type and stage of your cancer. In some cases, patients may undergo treatment to reduce a tumor prior to surgery, an approach shown to improve survival and lower the rate of recurrence for some cancers.
During and after treatment, our cancer center dietitians, social workers work closely with you to support your recovery. Our compassionate and caring team is committed to providing you with the best possible care.
